2D Mammography

This five-day course is created for beginners who have just started mammography or are planning to start the same

  • To understand the principles and technical aspects of digital mammography.
  • Importance of mammographic positioning.
  • To understand the role of mammography in screening and diagnostic settings based on guidelines.
  • To get familiarized with the mammography BIRADS lexicon
  • To understand the art of triangulation

3D Mammography (DBT)

This five day course is for Radiologist who are already comfortable with 2D mammography  and would like to start reporting breast Tomosynthesis.

  • To understand the principles and fundamentals of DBT.
  • To understand the role of DBT in screening and diagnostic settings.
  • To get familiar with the reading pattern in DBT slices and understand triangulation.
  • To understand the advantage and limitation of reading synthetic 2D mammogram.
  • To learn the recent advances in DBT.

Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM)

This  5 days is for Radiologists who are already comfortable with to mammography and would now like to incorporate contrast enhanced mammography into their practice. Although not necessary, knowing tomosynthesis will be an advantage.

  • To understand the principles and practical techniques of performing CEM
  • To get familiar with contrast agents, management of reactions and radiation involved in performing CEM
  • To understand the current clinical applications of CEM
  • To get familiar with CEM BIRADS lexicon.
  • To understand the limitations and to learn interpretation of CEM images in clinical practice.

Ultrasound

This five day course is for all Radiologist would like to incorporate both basic and advance ultrasound into their breast radiology practice.

  • To understand the principles and instrumentation of ultrasound in breast imaging.
  • To understand the current and future role of elastography and volume imaging.
  • To get familiar with ultrasound BIRADS lexicon.
  • To learn ultrasound imaging of axilla.
  • To understand the role of ultrasound in supplementary screening and in targeted ultrasound.

Breast Intervention

This course is primarily for Radiologist would like to incorporate invasive procedures into their practice and would include the following.

  • Understand the importance of good communication with patients.
  • To understand the indications of breast interventions across all modalities used in breast imaging.
  • To get familiar with the appropriate hardware based on clinical indication.
  • Hands-on training on ultrasound and mammography guided interventions in a phantom
  • To understand the complications and tips to avoid and handle complications in various breast interventions.

Multimodality course

This is a comprehensive 5 day course for any radiologist who is already familiar with mammography and ultrasound and would now like to have a better understanding of other modalities that are used to problem solve and stage breast lesions.

  • To consolidate knowledge on technical aspects of mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MR Imaging and PET CT.
  • To learn about indications of different modality based on clinical symptoms.
  • To understand the current and future indications of various modalities in breast imaging.
  • To learn new techniques including contrast mammography.
  • To understand the role of various imaging modalities in pre-operative local and distant staging and localization techniques.
